The EMERITUS Institute of Management seeks a Learning Designer to help build world-class eLearning offerings. S/he will partner with primary stakeholders to create professional education content in collaboration with top-ranked universities. This Cambridge-based role represents a unique growth opportunity and requires a creative mindset, an obsession for detail, and—ideally—a multicultural perspective.

 

Key Responsibilities
This position encompasses myriad responsibilities, which fall into multiple categories: content creation, community building, stakeholder management, and project management.
  • In partnership with the Director of Learning, develop key course elements for new offerings
  • Craft and deliver creative approaches to engage learners, develop assignments and assessments, and foster social interactivity
  • Identify and create online educational tools like interactive case studies (and similar materials) on an as-needed basis
  • During the design execution phase, liaise with the Mumbai-based Instructional Design team to ensure course vision translates accordingly to learning modules; this requires ongoing, transparent communication with colleagues in India, as well as with Course Leaders and the Director of Learning
  • Work with the Director of Learning and other EMERITUS leaders to manage faculty and school relationships with a high touch, client-focused approach
  • Conduct quality control checks on new and existing online courses
  • Remain hyper vigilant of pending deadlines in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders, and know when to push back to ensure timely product roll outs

  • You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and you’re comfortable bringing your own point of view to the table

  • You’re ready for a challenging growth opportunity, and you’re excited about the prospect of working with multinational colleagues
  • You’ve earned a Bachelor’s degree from a fully accredited university (advanced degree preferred), with a STEM background as a plus
