In 2011, she revolutionized recruiting with the embedded partner approach, reshaping how startups scale their teams. A problem-solver at heart, she thrives on tackling complex hiring challenges with a thoughtful, intentional approach—never transactional.
As the author of Custom-Fit, Kate equips founders with practical tools to master hiring, from building a hiring plan to interviewing for cultural fit. No matter the company stage, her mission remains the same: helping businesses build teams that drive success.
Outside of work, you’ll find Kate riding her horse, playing bad golf, hiking Sedona’s red rocks, or attempting yoga with questionable form—all with the same grit she brings to fixing broken hiring models.

Mark Sedita is a Principal Consultant at Boston Human Capital Partners, bringing over 25 years of expertise in talent acquisition. Since joining the company in November 2012, Mark has focused on helping clients in the technology and skilled labor sectors navigate the ever-changing hiring landscape. An award-winning consultant, Mark is passionate about attracting top-quality talent and guiding teams through the complexities of recruitment. Outside of work, he enjoys exploring nature, gardening, perfecting Italian recipes, and spending quality time with his two children.

Joe has established himself as an embedded resource and trusted advisor in the field of life sciences recruitment. His expertise spans a wide range of areas, including biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and medical device organizations. With a deep understanding of the life sciences industry, Joe has developed a unique ability to identify and engage exceptional candidates who share a passion for advancing human health and well-being. Outside of work, he enjoys snowboarding, playing golf, lifting weights, and practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Haley is known for being insightful, accountable, and deeply committed to helping clients achieve their hiring goals while building long-term relationships. She has successfully partnered with companies across industries—from software to biotech and life sciences—recruiting for a wide range of roles, including technical positions and go-to-market functions. Outside of work, Haley is a devoted Harry Potter enthusiast and avid reader who enjoys hiking (with plenty of breaks), photography, live music events, and spending quality time with her family, husband, and pets.

Kyle is passionate about connecting great people with great companies. With a knack for identifying top talent, he helps startups and small businesses build teams that align with their vision and culture. At Boston Human Capital Partners, he delivers a strategic, no-fluff approach to hiring, ensuring a seamless experience for both candidates and clients.

With over a decade of experience in HR leadership roles, Cindy is committed to helping clients foster a thriving workplace culture and drive organizational success by implementing strategic HR solutions that meet their unique needs. Outside of work, Cindy loves snapping pictures with her iPhone of her two favorite things: food, and travel.

VP of Operations

Michael is a seasoned professional with 25+ years of experience in business operations, financial systems, and implementing business operating systems. He specializes in optimizing processes, improving profitability, and enhancing organizational structure for startups and small businesses. Beyond work, Michael enjoys scuba diving, hiking, and traveling .

Janna ATCHESON
People Operations

Janna has over 15 years of administrative and operations experience in STEM. She specializes in Employee Relations and Organizational Efficiency, including process optimization, compensation strategy, and strategic planning. She is passionate about designing and delivering innovative solutions that amplify a collaborative, high-performance culture. Her hobbies outside of work include ballet, indoor rowing, and what can only be described as an excessive amount of crossword puzzles.
